Eamon was born in Cork, Ireland and was five or six when he discovered that he wanted to be an artist. It wasn't clear until the age of fourteen when he was constantly kicked out of class for never having an answer right because his attention was focused face down doodling in his school books. Eventually he convinced his parents to let him go to art college, and in 1998 he graduated from the Waterford Institute of Technology. After three tough (but fun) years he earned himself a HND, not in art but in graphic design. Eamon felt that to really get his ideas across he had to learn a whole bunch of rendering techniques and the design course consisted of that. In 1999 he decided to go to Southampton in England where he co-founded a small, but well established company, that he named Quantum Graphics (later became Q-Bik). For two years he designed and illustrated club flyers, posters, album covers, brochures, logos, and everything in between. Some years later, he left there to go try his hand in London where he worked with an agency called Feref Associates. There he found himself doing movie related design that consisted of movie posters, premier invites, straplines and a bit of illustration. As exciting as that was, it made more sense for him to go freelance and has remained so over the years, much to his delight. As well as producing outstanding all around illustration, Eamon has also helped develop new licenses with key art and branding for new properties. Eamon also continues to do highly regarded book covers, illustration, and design for the worlds top publishers. His pinup career has only just started with the likes of Pinup World Art and SQ Productions. So, watch this space - he plans on sticking around a while and bucking some trends.
